Mumbai could be the capital city of Maharashtra & also the financial capital of India. Mumbai was formerly called Bombay. Some popular sports of Mumbai city are the Prince of Wades Museum (the Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Sanghralaya), Gateway of India, Juhu Beach, Marine Drive, Marve and Chowpatty.

The seven islands that form Mumbai were home to fishing colonies. Successive kingdoms and indigenous empires ruled the Hawaiian islands before Portuguese settlers took it. Then, it went along to the British East India Company. Throughout the mid-18th century, Bombay became a significant trading town. It became a healthy place for the Indian independence movement during the early 20th century.

Mumbai is among the major metro cities in India. It is the capital of Maharashtra. It is one of many densely populated cities in India. It is just a coastal city. It located on the western coast of India. It is the centre of film production. It’s also known as the commercial capital of India.

Mumbai situated in the moderate climate zone. The climate here is pleasant throughout the entire year. It is neither too cold nor too hot. Even at that time when the whole north India is reeling under severe heat, the weather of Mumbai is pleasant. Particularly on the beach, it is much more enjoying. Juhu Beach is crowded. Electricity supply is excellent in Mumbai. There’s no problem with power-cut even as we see in other cities. The transport system of Mumbai is well-regulated. There is the discipline in public areas of life. The whole town is connected by rails or roads. The local train service in Mumbai is outstanding. There is a train for different commercial destinations at a distance of every few minutes. Despite overcrowding, there is discipline and decency in public places life. People—either literate, semi-literate or illiterate—follow the rules of traffic and general management and laws as well.

मुम्बई-महानगरं भारतस्य बृहत्तमं नगरं विद्यते । इदं महानगरं महाराष्ट्रराज्ये स्थितम् अस्ति । मुम्बई-महानगरम् अरबसागरस्य तटे स्थितम् अस्ति । अतः तत्र बहूनि समुद्रतटानि सन्ति । महानगरेऽस्मिन् बहूनि वीक्षणीयस्थलानि अपि सन्ति । अस्मिन् महानगरे त्रीणी समुद्रतटानि प्रसिद्धानि सन्ति । जुहू-समुद्रतटं, चौपाटी-समुद्रतटं, गोराई-समुद्रतटं च । तत्र “मरीन ड्राईव” इत्येतत् स्थलं वर्तते । एतत्स्थलं “क्वीन्स् नेकलेस्” इति नाम्ना अपि ज्ञायते । मुम्बई-महानगरे धार्मिकस्थलानि अपि सन्ति । सिद्धिविनायक-मन्दिरं, “हाजी अली मस्जिद्” च अस्य नगरस्य प्रसिद्धे धार्मिकस्थले स्तः । अनयोः मन्दियोः वास्तुकला प्रायः समाना एव अस्ति । अनयोः स्थलयोः जनसम्मर्दः अपि सर्वाधिकः भवति । मुम्बई-नगरस्य रात्रिजीवनं सम्पूर्णे विश्वस्मिन् प्रसिद्धम् अस्ति । यतः जनाः दिवाकाले व्यवसायं कुर्वन्ति । किन्तु रात्रिकाले भ्रमणार्थं गच्छन्ति । अस्मिन् नगरे द्युतक्रीडायाः स्थानानि अपि सन्ति । जनः द्युतक्रीडां कर्तुं तत्र गच्छन्ति । महाराष्ट्र-राज्यस्य सर्वकारेण मुम्बई-महनगरस्य दर्शनाय बसयानानि प्रचालितानि सन्ति । अतः ये जनाः कारयानैः मुम्बई-नगरस्य भ्रमणं कर्तुं नेच्छन्ति, तैः बसयानद्वारा भ्रमणं कर्त्तव्यम् । तानि बसयानानि “गेटवे ऑफ् इण्डिया” इत्यस्मात् स्थलात् मुम्बई-दर्शनं कारयन्ति । सायंकाले मुम्बई-नगरस्य भ्रमणं कृत्वा पुनः “गेटवे ऑफ् इण्डिया” इतीदं स्थलं प्राप्नुवन्ति । अनेन प्रकारेण यात्रिकाः मुम्बई-महानगरस्य प्रमुखाणि स्थलानि दृष्टुं शक्नुवन्ति । ग्रीष्मर्तौ अस्य नगरस्य वातावरणम् उष्णं भवति । अतः शीतर्तौ, वर्षर्तौ वा अस्य नगरस्य भ्रमणं कर्त्तव्यम् ।

मुम्बई-महानगरं भूमार्गेण सम्पूर्ण-भारतस्य प्रसिद्धनगरैः सह सम्बद्धम् अस्ति । महानगरमिदम् उत्तरदिशि आगरा-मार्गेण, पूर्वदिशि इन्दौर-मार्गेण, उत्तरदिशि अहमदाबाद-मार्गेण च सह सम्बद्धम् अस्ति । मुम्बई-महानगरे महाराष्ट्र-राज्यस्य सर्वकारप्रचालितानि बसयानानि अपि प्रचलन्ति । तैः बसयानैः गमने सौकर्यं भवति । मुम्बई-महानगरं रेलमार्गाय प्रसिद्धम् अस्ति । अस्य नगरस्य निवासिनः गमनाय रेलयानानां सर्वाधिकम् उपयोगं कुर्वन्ति । रेलयानम् अस्य नगरस्य तीव्रतमं साधनं वर्तते । मुम्बई-रेलस्थानकम् इन्दौर-नगरेण, बेङ्गळूरु-नगरेण, देहली-नगरेण, कोलकाता-नगरेण, पुणे-नगरेण, भोपाल-नगरेण इत्यादिभिः भारतस्य प्रमुखनगरैः सह सम्बद्धम् अस्ति । एतैः नगरैः मुम्बई-नगरात् नियमितरूपेण रेलयानानि प्राप्यन्ते । मुम्बई-महानगरे “छत्रपति शिवाजी” नामकम् अन्ताराष्ट्रियविमानस्थानकम् अस्ति । अस्मात् विमानस्थानकात् भारतस्य, विदेशस्य च प्रमुखनगरेभ्यः विमानानि प्राप्यन्ते । इदं विमानस्थानकं भारतस्य, विदेशस्य च विभिन्ननगरैः सह श्रेष्ठतया सम्बद्धम् अस्ति । अनेन प्रकारेण यात्रिकाः सरलतया मुम्बई-महानगरं गन्तुं शक्नुवन्ति ।
